The Book Thief

I read this book and when I finished it, it reminded me of my cousin. Nothing ever seems to make sense. It’s a world filled with beauty and horror. If only we could all see the good in ourselves and one another.
I would certainly recommend The Book Thief.
Who:
What:
A girl who finds nourishment in books in an otherwise senseless time. It is the power of the word that saves her (literally).
Where:
When:
1940’s
There’s nothing like getting lost in a good book. Reading sometimes is the only solace. I find that this is true in my own life as well as others. Reading a book allows me to escape my own problems and be absorbed in a completely different world.
The words I wrote above are just part of the message told in this great story.
If you must know, I don’t know what to read next. When I finish a good book I’m scared to attempt another for fear that it won’t be as engaging or meaningful.
The only thing I do know is that I need to take a lighter route.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.
