Waitin' for the Train

Alexa Chung’s collaboration with Madewell was beyond brilliant. I’m sort of sad I didn’t buy more of her items. I did walk away with this awesome t-shirt. I have to really like a graphic tee in order to wear it and I just adore this one. It’s really cute, that’s the only way to describe it… adorable. 

I went home a few days ago and found that the lighting was so beautiful by the train tracks. I whipped out my camera and said, “Pops, let’s take pics here”. He thought I was crazy, as did the other train riders, but I think the pictures have a really great effect. 

The light in these photographs really highlight the purple color of the skirt, loves it.

I just downloaded instagram on my ipad (yes, I know, I’m so behind) and I absolutely love it! The different effects are so cool. The three I used above are probably my favorites. Which filter is your favorite? 

Highlights of my day include: 

1) Eating the most delicious corn bread in the world for our Company lunch… also indulging in a little mac and cheese (there goes the healthy eating spiel) 

2) Finding my co-worker in my air conditioned building before having to walk all the way back to the other location in this sweltering heat to hand back his items 

Mehs of my day include: 

1) Sweating while sitting for the subway, sweating while walking, sweating while taking pictures

2) My sunglasses sliding off my nose… due to sweat

3) Waiting on a huge line to swipe my metro card (because they had closed two of the turnstiles) only to see my train come and go. Needless to say, it did not return for 20 minutes, thus the sweating mentioned above

4) Sitting next to very loud girls on the way home. I can now tell you how one of them wants to travel to Chicago and that their friend’s parents are stuck up
