The Bone Season

This is a hard one… not because I didn’t love The Bone Season, which I did, but because it’s somewhat confusing. I can only imagine it’s going to be that much more confusing to explain.
Alright, here goes nothing.
It’s the year 2059 (I didn’t know this from reading the book but that’s what Amazon tells me) and London is ruled by a group called the Scion. The main character, Paige, is a clairvoyant with a special power. The Scion have ostracized the clairvoyants and forced them into hiding. If a person is found out to be clairvoyant they are arrested, or so we think.
I hesitate to give out anymore details for fear of ruining the suspense of the book. However, here is what I can tell you, Bone Season is like an adult Hunger Games. I’m happy to have had this book to transition out of my World War 2 phase as it is an exciting page turner.
I’m a huge fan of fantasy/sci-fi so this book was perfect.
I think you know what I’m going to say now, as I almost always say it at the end of each of my book reviews, but go read this novel; it’s awesome.
My fingers, and toes, are crossed that this is just the first book in a series, I’m dying to read more!
