Happy 3rd Birthday Henry

One of my favorite people in the world turned three today. I’m lucky enough to say that I’ve had many wonderful times with Henry in his first three years. While visiting Florida a few weeks ago I went over to my cousin’s house while the boys were sleeping. Dominic woke up first, so I went to say hello. I must have scared him because he started crying the instant he saw me. The noise eventually brought Henry out of his room. I was a little deflated from Dominic’s hello but I bent down to Henry’s height, with my arms wide open, and hoped for a warm welcome. He looked at me, hair askew from sleep, and gave me a big smile. Henry walked right into my arms, wrapped his arms around my neck, and laid his head on my shoulder.

It was perfect.

Moments like this happen often with Henry because he is one of the most affectionate, funny and sweet kids I know. 

Henry, I wish you the most wonderful 3rd birthday in the world.
