I love to read. It’s the ideal hobby for subway commuting. The fact that any size book can fit into my kindle fire is great. My thought process when buying handbags now begins with, “Will my kindle fire fit in here”?
I think I’m going to do the unthinkable right now… I’m going to interview myself.
Since no one else is going to do it, Imma do it.
What was your favorite book of the ones above?
Hands down, Code Name Verity. It was an absolutely beautiful and inspiring book about love and friendship. It really struck a chord with me.
What’s up with the World War 2 theme?
I’ve always been obsessed with that era. I read War Brides on a whim (as it was already on my Mom’s kindle) and got instantly hooked (as I often do). That book led me down the reading path that I’m on now.
Do you feel self conscious reading teen novels over adult fiction?
Absolutely not. I’m not one to feel self conscious about anything so I certainly don’t feel bad reading a teen book over an adult one. I find that they’re more interesting sometimes!
What’s up next?
Well right now I’m in the middle of reading The Book Thief. Next up I’m leaning towards The Hour I First Believed.
How do you keep track of everything you’re reading/wanting to read?
There’s this wonderful app, Goodreads, that’s available for apple products. You can read other’s reviews, follow what your friends are reading and keep track of what you’ve read, what you’re reading and what you want to read! Also, if you review five books the app begins to recommend you things to read based on what you like.
It’s pretty awesome and definitely helps when I’m looking for my next book.
