Palms in the Hamptons

Well, it’s back to civilization; vacation is officially over. We had a wonderful time eating our way through the Hamptons. I have a great post on all our favorite food joints out there (to appear on the blog later in the week). The blouse I’m wearing in these photographs is from the Alexa Chung for Madewell line. I was in Germany when it came out and stayed up all night just to snag my favorite pieces (issues, I know). I’m glad I scored this palm tree beauty. In typical fashion, it’s actually a pajama top that I wear out in public. Will it ever be worn to bed? I think not. BTW those are my bare legs you’re seeing underneath that uber short dress. I know it’s totally not my style to show skin, (or wear anything short) but I thought I’d try it out. Originally, I had on knee high socks, but they kept on rolling down, so I tossed them aside for my pale legs. I actually think the look isn’t too horrible. And just in case my skirt were to blow up, I have on biker shorts underneath. That’s how we old people roll.
