Sharon's Sorbet
Thursday, July 30, 2015
Sharon's sorbet is the best sorbet ever.
If you follow my blog you'll know I'm not a huge fan of sorbet, however, Sharon's has great flavors. The dutch chocolate is incredibly creamy and pairs wonderfully with the mixed berry. Unfortunately, it's hard to find grocery stores that sell Sharon's or else my freezer would be stocked to the brim. Lucky for me, I'm able to indulge my craving when I'm in the Hamptons on the weekends.

Isabel Marant, Zara
I can count the number of thong sandals I own on one hand. Generally, they're not the style of sandal I gravitate towards, but the Jayson Isabel Marant sandals are everything. Put simply, I can't afford Isabel Marant shoes so I was ecstatic when I saw Gaby, from The Vault Files, post about her Isabel imitation sandals from Zara.
The Zara sandals I purchased are amazing. They are so comfortable and stylish I could easily wear them everyday. These shoes were definitely a great find.

The Nightingale
Wednesday, July 22, 2015
I don't know where to begin with this book review so I'll start with this - The Nightingale is one of my favorite books of all time.
I found The Nightingale by doing my customary search of World War 2 fiction on Google. The story centers around two sisters in war stricken France. We follow their hardships throughout the war and delve into the intricacies of their familial relationships. The characters in this book are incredibly well developed and each sister's story is unique, while at the same time interwoven.
There was something haunting about the book that left me sad after I finished reading. Not only was I upset about the story itself, but I missed the characters and I wished I could have learned more about them.
When I told my mom that this was one of my favorite books she commented that she liked it, but thought it was poorly written. I can understand that opinion and will acquiesce to the fact that it wasn't the best penned novel I've ever read. However, the character development and story-line totally make up for this fact.
I don't think I can say enough good things about this book. My cup runneth over with love for The Nightingale. It would be a mistake if this novel were not turned into a movie immediately.
I'll leave you with this ending remark - I want more of The Nightingale and I wish the novel were never-ending.

I have always been a fan of Clare Vivier and I became even more enamored with the brand after viewing their Instagram.
It's a little early to start writing down my Christmas list but I'm pretty confident it will begin with a Clare Vivier bag.
