After 13+ hours of traveling my family has returned from Hawaii. Although it was an 8 day trip, it went by far too quickly.
During our stay in Hawaii we made two stops, one in Honolulu and one in Kona. For the first two days of the vacation we stayed at the Kahala Resort in Honolulu. 30+ years ago my parents stayed at the same resort. I'm incredibly happy that the BF and I got to experience the Kahala because it is absolutely stunning.
The resort has a gorgeous beach that is secluded from the other major resorts in Honolulu. The thing I liked best about the beach was that the ocean was totally calm - there were no waves at all. The Kahala even had a floating deck where you could sun bathe in the water.
It was heavenly.
Over the next few days I'll share more moments from our wonderful trip, including a visit to the Pearl Harbor memorial and our time in Kona.
