Kate Spade Madison Ave
Thursday, October 30, 2014
My mom and I were invited to a personal shopping experience at the Kate Spade store on Madison Avenue. I had some reservations going into the appointment because I didn't know what to expect.
I was completely blown away by both the store and the personal shopping experience. The shop is stunning and has tons of hidden details that make it incredibly fun (check out pictures 1 & 4). What surprised me the most about the experience was walking into a room filled with all the things I wanted to try. To top it off, we also had our own personal dressing room!
My favorite purchase from the day is a beautiful midnight blue statement necklace.
I'm crossing my fingers (and maybe my toes) that my mom and I can visit the boutique again come Christmas time. I can only imagine how great Kate Spade's decorations will be during the holiday season!

Tory Burch Marion
Sunday, October 26, 2014
If you follow me on Instagram you may remember I was deciding between purchasing one of two Tory Burch backpacks. After much discussion amongst almost everyone I know, I went forward and bought the Marion backpack for my upcoming trip to Florida!
Looking at photographs I am somewhat traumatized by my lack of style during last year's Disney World trip, so I decided to kick it up a notch for 2014.
The BF And I leave for vacation Wednesday evening and I thought this backpack would be the perfect travel companion - it even smells good. While the backpack isn't full leather, I know the nylon material will be incredibly durable for long hours in the Disney World parks.
There's something so fun about purchasing items for an upcoming trip - it makes the vacation even more exciting because you get to wear your new things.
My cousin has a countdown to Disney and we're officially only one week away - I can't wait!

Dominion
Wednesday, October 22, 2014
I read the book Dominion, which sounds like a Shades of Grey type of novel, but was instead a book about a fictional alternative outcome to World War 2. The novel centers around a British spy and how he, and others, kept sensitive information out of German hands.
I enjoyed reading Dominion, although at times I found it slow. When I first read the description of the book I imagined a much more violent and oppressed occupied England. Instead, what was portrayed was rather bland. It seems unrealistic to think that the Germans would have been tame immediately after winning the war.
I think there was a lot that could have been done with this topic and unfortunately CJ Sansom did not reach that potential with Dominion.
It's been a while since I've said these words - but I would skip reading this novel.

Wrenn Jewelry
Sunday, October 19, 2014
Since purchasing my long druzy necklace from Lemon Sweet Jewelry I have become obsessed. Through my cousin's Instagram prowess we found Wrenn Jewelry - a site chockfull of druzy goodness.
I was particularly drawn to Wrenn Jewelry's earrings and rings as I own a druzy necklace already. I couldn't be more thrilled with my statement ring purchase. It fits great on my pointer finger, and since receiving it, I've worn it everyday. The earrings, on the other hand, are incredibly small - minuscule to say the least. And while I hate to say anything negative about an independent shop, the photos of the studs are incredibly misleading. While the earrings are very small, I am enjoying wearing them. It's no big shocker that black earrings with rose gold trim go with everything.
For Christmas I predict that at least one or two more rings from Wrenn Jewelry will be on my list.
I also have my eye on the heart initial bracelet.
Here's to hoping that these goodies are in my stocking come Christmas morning!
