Tonight is a big night for me.
There is a 90 minute season finale for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, the season premiere of Once Upon a Time and the season premiere of Revenge.

My brain capacity is going to diminish at least 20 percent.

I'm excited

I know, I've left out the biggest deal of all, the series finale of Breaking Bad.
However, I'm not watching the show in real time.

Right now I'm up to Season 4 Episode 7.
I'm sure by tomorrow I'll be even further ahead.
I could talk Breaking Bad for hours, but I have to get prepared for tonight's epic line up.

Pinkman, we love you.

Caliente Cab Co.

Wednesday, September 25, 2013

The town that I grew up in on Long Island is relatively small.
As a result, my parents and I are repeat offenders at the same four restaurants, one of them being Mexican.

I'm not sure if it's out of habit but I love Amigos.
(They have since closed but that's a whole other story).
Since moving to Manhattan 7 years ago I've been on the hunt for a Mexican restaurant of similar quality.

The hunt was not a success.

However, the other day, the BF and I came across Caliente Cab Co.
While they are not nearly as good as Amigos, the food was quite tasty.

If your in the West Village it's worth a try.

Sweater: Joie, Joe Fresh and Target

Tonight, I want to talk about dog sweaters... for humans.

When I saw Alicia, from Cheetah is the New Black, rocking this Joie sweater last year I was smitten. Unfortunately, $298.00 for an item of clothing was not part of my budget.

Lucky for me 2013 brought a plethora of dog adorned tops.

My top two choices?
A comfy Target sweatshirt and a familiar faced Joe Fresh sweater.

Two for the 1/6th price of one.

Blouse: Equipment, Tee: Club Monaco, Skirt: Target, Bag: Michael Kors, Shoes: Senso

I have yet to talk about the obvious on the blog, our new apartment!
We finally have everything here (furniture wise) and it's wonderful

I absolutely love the space and the location.

However, I do miss our old neighborhood with it's reliable restaurants.
The big drawback; there is no Korean restaurant that delivers.
And while we do live super close to some top notch places (Shun Lee, Rosa Mexicana) my wallet is not feeling it.

My number one go to for meals now, is Whole Foods.
I just adore that place.
I eat it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It's like having a homemade meal, without the cooking part.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Boston Things

Earrings & Brooch: Vintage from 20th Century LTD,  Skirt: Vintage from SoWa Vintage Market

Whenever I go to a new city I like to plan itineraries for each day I'm there.
A huge part of those schedules include walking from neighborhood to neighborhood in search of the best shops.

First on my list, for Boston, was Twentieth Century LTD, an amazing vintage jewelry store located in Beacon Hill.

After seeing Alexa Chung rocking a pineapple pin in this picture, I felt like I had to have one.
Lucky for me, Twentieth Century had a whole box dedicated to fruit pins!
I was happy to discover that wearable food is a thing.

Also on the schedule was a stop to the SoWa Vintage Market held every Sunday in the city.
It was chock full of vintage clothes, jewelry and antique knick-knacks.

Boston, I had fun.
See you on the flip side.
