Sweater: Sandro
Jeans: Rag and Bone
Shoes: Target

Barbs and I fell in love with Sandro in Berlin. We were honestly mesmerized by the detail in each piece. I'm hoping to do some spring shopping with my mama when it gets a little warmer. The first thing she asked when I made that suggestion was, "didn't they just open a Sandro store in the city"?

That's the sign of a good woman folks. They don't make em' better than Barbs.

Necklace: J. Crew
Blouse: Equipment
Pants: Trouve (similar style here)
Bag: J. Crew
Shoes: Zara
Sweater: Banana Republic

I'm really pleased that blue on blue was a prominent theme in street style photographs this fashion week (lets just say I'm a huge fan).

Sorry for the lack of post last night; the BF and I were attempting to plan a vacation. You know what we say to that? #epicfail That's right, everywhere is just too expensive. So we shall turn in our swimsuits for sweaters and vacate to East Hampton. Things could be worse. In reality, a vacation for me is extra sleep so it's all the same. I guess I was just hoping to pass out in the sun and wake up tan (more like severely burnt). You can't win 'em all!

Work-In It

Necklace: Fiona Paxton
Sweater: Alexa Chung for Madewell (similar style here)
Bag: Prada
Pants: Zara
Shoes: Zara

A somewhat professional outfit (for my standards). Although, I do understand the necklace is a tad unconventional. Furry sweaters were/are my best friend this winter (even though it has been a mild one). This Alexa Chung sweater is no exception. The only issue is the fuzz trail I leave behind. My parents are not friends of the fuzzing. I would purposely hug them and scream, "you've been fuzzed"! Don't come too close, I may just fuzz you.

I know, I'm a walking fashion faux pas... the same boots two days in a row? I hear the whispers now. But that's just how much I love these boots and the word slouchy. Yep, the slouchy boots are back (ok, I'll stop now with the redundant adjective). really won me over with these babies. It seems that everyone knows the way to my heart: clothes, shoes and accessories.

Have you all watched Downton Abbey? It's my new obsession. It's even stopped me from watching the Teen Mom Reunion. Scandalous, I know.

And these beauties, ladies and gentlemen, are incredible pieces of footwear. You thought you found the perfect slouchy boots before... well you're wrong. These Steve Madden gems, from, are perfection. The right amount of slouchiness, the right amount of distressed-ness (love when I make up English)... I mean, it doesn't get better than that. The best part about them is that as the day goes on they get slouchy-ier and slouchy-ier. Success!

No need to point it out, I love the word slouchy and my english leaves little to be desired.

Don't forget to use COLLECTIONS as a discount at it's 15% off your ENTIRE purchase.

When Life Gives You Lemons... Lulu' Makes a Dress

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Blouse: Equipment
Jeans: Uniqlo (similar style here)
Boots: Nine West
Jacket (seen below): Zara

I have a confession to make... I never got over the fruit print trend. I know I'm late on the bandwagon but honestly, when I saw this dress on, I knew it had to be mine. The bright yellow lemons make such a fun statement and the pop of color is perfect for Spring. Right now, although it is bizarrely warm for February in NYC, there is still a chill in the air that prevents me from wearing the dress alone. Instead, I decided to layer it up for a more winter friendly look.

And yes, those are jeans you're seeing under the dress. Listen, I think the number one rule of fashion is to never do what you're told. So that's right ladies, and maybe one or two gentlemen, I will go on wearing jeans under my dresses. And guess why? Because I love it!

You think I would run out on you all without sharing some of the fun? Well, I'm pleased to announce that there is a discount code COLLECTIONS (case sensitive) that you can use on to get 15% off your entire purchase! It is a one time only deal for each customer, so use it wisely! The discount starts today and ends Feb. 28th... so hurry up and get shopping!
