My Funny Valentine

Our last day in Amsterdam my parents decided to hit up the museums while I walked around. I walked on the fancy street, P.C. Hooftstraat (where I had actually stayed a couple of years ago). It's a nice street to check out. It has all your basic upscale stores; Chanel, Gucci, Louis Vuitton etc. etc.

Yesterday, in my haste to finish posting because I was tired, I forgot to mention all the great shops I hit up/ ones you should definitely visit. A gorgeous store, where I bought several things, is called Nummer 9 located at, Prinsengracht 226. It sells Scandinavian designers and has some really unique items. Definitely a MUST hit when in Amsterdam. Another great street for shopping is Kalverstraat. It hosts your typical European stores; Bershka, Zara, H&M etc. However, I was pleased to find a River Island there, where I was able to purchase an absolutely adorable dress... score.

One of the memories that sticks out the most for me whenever I'm in Amsterdam is this large chess set above. I was really glad we were able to find it. I feel oriented once I find my way back to this place.

We ate lunch at a chain called Wagamama. They have one in Cambridge and I absolutely love it. They serve yummy, yummy noodle soups. If there's one in your area you should definitely check it out.

Highlights of that day include:

1) Seeing the chess set again
2) Meeting my parents earlier than expected (yay)
3) Enjoying the beauty of Amsterdam early in the morning when no one else is up (loves it)
