Lengthy

I decided to not go to most of the touristy spots my parents wanted to visit because I had already been to them. But the Anne Frank house I go to every time I'm in Amsterdam. It is a truly beautiful memorial. I get very emotional when I go there but it's important to go because we can/should never forget what happened.

Rag and Bone sunglasses, Zara scarf, Beadies necklace, Wildfox sweatshirt, J. Crew belt, LF skirt, Proenza Schouler bag, Sam Edelman shoes

In the evening we went to this BEYOND delicious Indonesian restaurant. Have you ever had Indonesian food before? If not... DO IT.

Highlights of that day include:

1) Pancakes
2) Pancakes
3) Pancakes
4) Going to the Anne Frank house and remembering to be grateful for everything I have and everything I've had. Being happy that I was able to spend my childhood and teenage years with two wonderful people, my parents, and many more years to come.

Would love to see the Anne Frank house one day - my school had a Holocaust class we had to take for a semester in 6th grade, and I've always wanted to experience the memorials firsthand. I am sure it is such a creepy/astounding/humbling experience. And on a lighter note, I really love your Rag & Bone sunglasses :) xx

And P.S. - thanks for the blog comment!

Aaaww I went to Amsterdam on August, but I couldn't make it to go and visit Ann Frank's house! I really would have wanted to! But my trip friends weren't interested at all. I would have gone to Ann's house rather than Van Gogh museum. I mean, I've seen Van Goghs in every size shape and color all over Europe!! :( I hope to go back there soon and visit it!
Do you go to Amsterdam often?
