FNO? More like FNI

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Unlike the rest of NYC, I'm spending my Fashion Night In (FNI). I made a pact not to shop and now I'm sticking to it! I'm just as shocked as all of you. It did look like a lot of fun though. Working downtown didn't help anything either; all the stores were playing music, people we're laughing with shopping bags... I could cry right now just thinking about it (just kidding I'm not THAT jealous).

This has to be one of my favorite outfits. A zebra print shirt? A funky necklace? Wedges? Hello! It's perfection up in hur.

Dannijo necklace, Zara blouse, Balenciaga bag, American Eagle jeans, Zara wedges

Can I please tell you that right now I'm listening to football at an ear deafening volume all because the BF is beyond obsessed? Honestly, he screamed and pounded something (his chest perhaps?) for about five minutes when the game started. I'm pretty sure his chant went something like, "first game of the season baby" (and I thought I was the crazy one).

Highlights of my day include:

1) Anticipating my trip to Harvard tomorrow
2) Going a second day without buying anything (an actual feat for me mind you)
3) Eating yummy yummy thai food for dinner
4) Seeing all the gorgeous outfits from Fashion Week start to appear on Bloglovin' (hurray inspiration)!

A free necklace for all! Check it out: GIVEAWAY

Well you aren't the only one. I decided to stay in. It's been raining madly in DC for the past 3 days. So i don't fee like getting wet. I've been trying to save my money for a trip in April So i'd rather stay in. it sucks looking at all the twitpics and instragrams of ppl having fun at stores and what not! LOL You are not ALONE!

loving your style. just found your blog recently.

i have 2 bits of advice to freshen up your beauty looks so they look as good as you clothes ;)

1) throw those natural curls up in a top knot like this but looser-> http://atauds.files.wordpress.com/2010/09/shanae-grimes-top-knot.jpg?w=350&h=463

2) don't line the bottom of your eyes. just the top of your eyes with a lil mascara

XOxo

This is def one of my favorite outfits, too. I love everything about it from the zebras to the wedges. I'm currently on the Zara webpage, debating whether or not to buy the wedges. They are so cute, but I just bought new black wedges last weekend...

Ugh same here-- I didn't allow myself to go to any FNO events because I knew I'd just end up shopping!! Love your outfit though- such a great shirt!

That zebra blouse made me gasp--it's just awesome.

As for FNO--Ugh, I've made a point to avoid it as well. Anytime anything is hyped up that much it always ends up being a madhouse. And I won't bother with massive crowds even for the promise of promotional freebies or discounts on clothing I couldn't buy anyway.

That outfit is so super cute! The knotted shirt, the ripped up jeans and the prim wedges are just perfect! I love it!!

Ha, my hubs was all about the game last night, too. It doesn't help that he's a Vikings fan and hates the Saints with a passion. And I'm from New Orleans. While I don't care much about football, I at least have to hope they win. =) Honestly though, I was asleep by the time the game ended, so I still don't know the outcome. lol

I love how you dress like a normal person and still look well above the average Jane.

Teach me your ways!

But seriously, teach me your ways. If you would ever be so kind as to take a look at my blog and offering some critique, it would be well appreciated. I am always looking for some advice from young fashionistas :)
